Our company, PB. KURNIA, was founded in 1965 in the area of Citatah, with 30 employees producing marble (limestone) chips and heavy-weight Calcium Carbonate for the terazzo industry.

To cope with increasing demand, in 1970 we added more machines from China and West Germany so powder of 800 mesh fineness could be produced to supply more industrial sectors: rubber, plastic, soap, paint, carpet, etc.

In 1990, another machine with high output was purchased from Messrs, CE Raymond, USA with production capacity of 3000 tons per month, and by then our employees had been reached 150 persons and we had more varieties in our production: Calcium Oxide, Calcium Hydroxide, Dolmite, Zeolite, Bentonite, and Phyrophillite.

The marble division was started in 1978, and the necessary limestone quarry had been acquired (now totalling to an area of 30 hectares) to ensure continuous supply for our requirement and to avoid being dependent to material suppliers.This was primarily intended to supply the local market, but since there were requirement from abroad, we made our first export in 1988 to South Korea, and by now we are continuously supplying also to other countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Canada and USA.

Since the demand has rapid growth both for local and foreign market, to serve our clients better we decided to separate our marble production so we could have two dependent factories to supply the local and foreign market. Hence PT. JAVASTONE PERKASA was established in 1990 to serve the export market, having a location of only 500 meters from PB. KURNIA.

At present we have a total of 15 block cuttersm 3 polishing lines and 2 chamfering lines from Italy with 300 employees and a production capacity of 30.000 m² per month.

Thanks to the vast area of our quarry, we have the most complete range of colours from the region, we can produced profiles with accurate shape to be used for vanity tops, table tops, etc.
